My department at work is two people, me and Stefano.
On Friday morning, Stefano and his wife Jennifer had their first child, a son named Tucker Delaney McGhee. He was born at 7 pounds, 11 ounces, and 20.5 inches long, and both mother and son are doing wonderfully.
Stef and Jennifer were kind enough to invite Kate and me down to visit; we spent a couple of hours this morning (yes, Sunday morning. You know I was excited by my getting up early on Sunday.) visiting them, and Tucker, at the hospital.
Me holding Tuck. He really is quite a cute baby. He has a strong grip already, and managed to stay quiet, mostly because he was sleeping, for the two hours that Kate and I were there. Early money is on Tuck ending up a spy. Between dad in the military (Air Force Reserve), and his ability to stay calm, cool, and collected in the presence of chaos (or at least very large strangers), I think the CIA should keep an eye on the boy.
