Updated my High-Availability Xen page with some detail on block devices and file systems and what’s fun about doing systems development work 10 days behind the kernel code that’ll make it all work.
Kate’s out of town, and I’ve had a couple of long days at work the past couple of days, so things are pretty quiet. Working through a pulled muscle in my back that made running a little painful today, but still managed to play some basketball and do a bit of lifting along with the now-normal 2.5 miles on the human wheel, er, treadmill.
The exciting news, though, is that tonight is the first FNG meeting of the year.
I’m in better shape now than I have been for years and years and years. I’ve taken off about 5 or 8 pounds over the last couple of months, and along with picking up a whole bunch of muscle, dropping a couple of inches off my tummy, and quitting smoking, I feel like I’m in a good place going into this frisbee season.
As I said, things are pretty quiet. Now, go read about block devices!

Speaking of diets, I read this article in the Times and thought of you since you used to be (if I am remembering correctly) on a beer diet.

Glad things are going well for you:)
