So I went to dinner with a friend of mine last night. We went to East Coast Grill, because I was craving seafood (magnesium deficiency or something, I guess).
We get our appetizer, and about 2 minutes later the electricity goes out. Like, the whole restaurant is plunged into darkness, except the emergency exit lights.
The cooks finish what they’re cooking, using residual heat, but aren’t able to start new dishes (including our entrees).
We hung around for a while, finished our drinks, hoping the lights would come back on. They didn’t. So we wandered off looking for somewhere else to eat.
We went to O’Sullivan’s, which has some amazing burgers. Closed. No good idea why, because there were lots of people inside, but they wouldn’t let anyone else in.
So finally we ended up at Christopher’s. Which is good food. But c’mon. Especially when they screwed up the bill, and gave us a $120 check (for a party of 6).
What a night.
Going tomorrow to look at an apartment, one that’s right in Inman Square. The more I look around, the more I think that Inman and Cambridgeport are the two places that I’d really like to be. We’ll see, though…
