Went down to Dot this afternoon, to dig around in what I had left at my mom’s house. She’s in the process of getting it ready to go on the market, and I just needed to make sure that nothing important got sold in the process.
Also had dinner at the Ashmont Grill. I’ve mentioned it before, but it’s worth reiterating what I said then; the place is wonderful. They do an amazing, wonderful job with food. The steak was amazing, my mom’s chard side was incredibly tasty, and the chocolate torte is the most decadent thing in the history of the world.
If you live in Boston, and you haven’t been there, you should go. Yes, it’s in Dorchester. But it’s very close to the T, very accessible, reasonably priced (as good as the South End — better than most places there! — but at $15-$20 for an entree, instead of $30-$35), and so, so tasty.
