“Morale was deteriorating, and it was all Yossarian’s fault. The country was in peril; he was jeopardizing his traditional rights of freedom and independence by daring to exercise them.”
- Catch-22
I’m not sure what it was about this quote that jumped out at me this morning, but something did.
For those who haven’t read it (or haven’t re-read it recently), Catch-22 is amazing, and worth going back and reading again…

It would please Dad enormously that you appreciate Catch-22. He wore out his first copy before he even graduated from undergrad.

Heh, I work at a bookstore and a copy of it was on the 10 cent table. I picked it up and it is on my list. I just have to get through this sci-fi kick I’m on. I’m right now re-reading Dune and the Wheel of Time series to compare and contrast the Bene Gesserit and Aes Sedai and look for how I’m going tighten my own similar order for my story.
but catch-22 is gonna be the next.
