Class today covered intellectual property law, mostly copyright and plagiarism. Which is interesting, to some degree.
But we didn’t really touch on new technologies, patents and trademarks and all of those areas of intellectual property law. I would have liked to; in some ways, it’s a departure from journalism, but there are overlaps. An example that pops to mind is the DeCSS situation from a couple of years ago. I just think it could have been an interesting (and relevant!) digression.
But hey; interesting, none the less.
