Had a very nice day up in Salem with Grace and mom today, at the Peabody Essex Museum. Their permanent exhibits are nice and all, but I was particularly taken with an exhibition of the photographs of Alex MacLean.

IAN! thank you for putting bono’s speech on your website. it’s amazing. i passed it on to my sister, who works with jeffrey sachs in africa, and she passed it on to the president of the nike foundation. strangley, she hadn’t seen the speech yet and thought it was really powerful.
