Lives

Good article in the New York Times Magazine today, in the “Lives” section, titled The Unwhole Truth. It’s a very good article, especially for those of the mid-20s, emotionally-distant, bent.

A quick quote:

From now on the task would no longer be seperation and difference, no longer the scultpturing of a self to be distinct from other selves. From now on the task would be to find happiness in a crowd.

Hrm. Talk about pointing to things that I, personally, am not very good at.

wow, talk about hitting the nail on the head! I emailed that thing to about 4 people yesterday. It’s really good. Think I saved it, even.

Looking backwards, it’s remarkable how we can see ourselves turning, moving from one place in our self-making to another. funny that we have such trouble seeing it at the time.

what’s the plan for turkey day at 107 ocean? is there a plan?
